Terms of Service

Use of heft.io (“the service”) is subject to these terms. The terms may be updated; significant changes will be communicated. Continued use means acceptance of the latest version.

Scope

These terms apply to the heft.io analytics service.

Account terms

Account holders are responsible for keeping their account and credentials secure, and for activity under their account. The service must be used lawfully and in compliance with applicable laws.

A valid email address is required to hold an account.

Cancellation and termination

Accounts can be cancelled or deleted at any time. Cancellation is straightforward and can be done by the account holder. When an account is deleted, the associated data is permanently removed and no copies are retained.

Accounts or access may be suspended or terminated in case of breach of these terms or when necessary. The service can be refused. Abuse of the service or other users can result in immediate termination.

Modifications to the service

Parts of the service may be changed or discontinued with or without notice. There is no liability to users or any third party for those changes.

Content and data ownership

Account holders are responsible for the content and data they submit or publish through the service.

The service does not claim ownership of site data or analytics — account holders retain full ownership. Feedback or suggestions sent may be used to improve the service, without payment or attribution. The look and feel of heft.io and its branding must not be implied as associated with another site or product without permission.

Privacy and data

Data is processed as described in the Privacy policy and Data policy. The Data Processing Agreement (DPA) forms part of these terms when GDPR or similar data protection law applies to the account holder's use of the service. Account holders are responsible for complying with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Site data is not sold. It is processed only to provide the service, including via subprocessors listed at Subcontractors, who act on the operator’s instructions. Account holders own their website data.

Liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” The service does not guarantee that it will meet specific requirements or be error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, there is no liability for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service or these terms.
