Privacy Policy
TL;DR: No cookies for visitors, no personal data from browsing. If you have an account, heft.io only stores what is needed and shares it only with providers that run the service.
The Data policy describes what is stored when heft.io analytics is used on a site.
This is not a commercial product; just a serious personal project.
Visitors
You are not tracked as an individual by design. The analytics pipeline does not store raw IP addresses or full User-Agent strings, and does not use cookies for measurement. No sharing or selling of visitor data to third parties for advertising or profiling. No monetization of visitor data.
The heft.io website and app.heft.io application use analytics to understand overall traffic. That data is processed as described in the Data policy.
Optional opt-out uses a first-party cookie as described in the Tracking API.
Account holders
Having an account requires an email address to operate the account and to receive essential notices (e.g. sign-in links, security-related messages). A first-party cookie is set by the application so you can stay signed in; you can clear it in your browser anytime.
Accounts and the associated data can be deleted at any time by the account holder. Deletion is permanent and no copies are retained.
Retention
Information is kept for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the service. It is retained and used only where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce the terms that apply to the service.
Changes and contact
This policy is updated when practice or regulation requires it. Material changes will be communicated. Questions? Use the contact options on the site.
